Danny's Days - 13th March 2023

This week we are getting ourselves ready for this weekend MOTHER'S DAY celebrations. The weather forecast is looking a bit gloomy at the moment with rain expected on the day until 6pm. Every year I'm asked what I would recommend for a Mother's Day meal so here are my favourite suggestions: a slow roast joint like a SHOULDER OF LAMB, a large pie such as our award winning BEEF BOURGUIGNON or BEEF EN CROUTE, or maybe a classic Beef roasting joint like FILLET, RIB or CONTRE FILLET.

I’m planning to do a fair bit of cooking myself this weekend. In case you missed it, this Braised OX CHEEKS recipe I filmed a video for recently is another favourite I'm considering doing this weekend. 

This weekend is also St. Patricks weekend and we are making a large amount of individual sized Beef pies for a Guinness sponsored Six Nations Rugby event. This is an unusual order for us and the kitchen team are very excited by this.
