Danny's Days - 25th March 2024

Easter week is a big week for all Butchers in the UK. We tend to have more communication with our farmers regarding Lamb supply - especially given the recent wet weeks. Wet weather can often mean lambs are not ready for butchers and still in the fields, which in turn increases the demand for lamb, and especially legs of lamb.

Nevertheless, we are all ready for an exciting and busy Easter week. If you follow us on social media (links are at the bottom of this page) you’ll see some of the magnificent meats we’ve managed to select recently.

On a personal note, I always find Easter a bright, positive and uplifting time. No matter if you are a religious believer or not, Easter brings the start of a new era. Easter always occurs on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon (the first full moon that occurs after the vernal equinox, which signifies the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere), according to The Old Farmer's Almanac.
