Danny's Days - 4th July 2022

Last week saw some mixed weather but fear not, the reliable BBC weather report looks very promising for this week and weekend.

This week is national barbecue week so that seems very well organised by someone with the power to do so. Here is a link for some BBQ ideas and another for some very handy tips. This will also go well with our special offer of butterflied legs of lamb which will run until Wednesday evening. Why not make the most of this week’s promising weather and squeeze a bit more al fresco dining in this week?

This year it really feels London is getting back to full swing. There were a string of concerts recently - Adele, Guns n Roses and The Rolling Stones just to name a few! This year also marks 50 years of Pride and there are an absolute feast of events happening all over London.

What a difference 2022 is becoming after the last 2 years of lockdown restrictions. Lets hope this helps some of the independent businesses finding it so difficult to navigate these choppy times. The BBC today stated the number of pubs in the UK is falling and has hit the lowest number ever on record. There may be some tougher times ahead but lets hope some positivity, good will and endurance will see us all through it safely.

I hope you have a wonderful week and don’t forget to squeeze in an extra BBQ for National BBQ week, it would be rude not to.

The very best wishes,
Danny Lidgate
