Danny's Days - 22nd April 2024

This week I am excited to announce we now have New Season Wiltshire Lamb. It has been a frustrating situation this year as our previous supplier, Tony Good from Letcombe Regis, passed away and his family sold the farm to pursue other projects. The new owners did not continue with the farming. Tony used to be able to produce new season lamb much earlier than any one else and excelled in quality and consistency. However we now have a new farmer, also in Wiltshire, and we look forward to tasting his lambs this week.

This Wednesday is a big day for the whole Lidgate team. The shop will be closing at midday for the funeral of my father. Probably he wouldn’t have wished the shop to close for any occasion, however we feel it is a respectful action that allows all who knew him to attend the funeral. We will be delivering in morning as usual and then back to business as normal on Thursday morning.
