Jalapeno Poppers

These are a tasty to side to have with a burger instead of fries or just as a spicy snack on their own. 


10 large jalapeños
225g cream cheese softened
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
250g bacon cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup spring onions sliced



  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Slice each of the jalapeños in half lengthwise and use a spoon to remove the seeds and veins.

  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cheddar, bacon, and spring onions.

  3. Spoon the mixture evenly in the jalapeños and place it on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until the jalapeños are tender.
