Danny's Days - A Week in the Life of a Butcher's Shop

This week the team at Lidgates are all preparing for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. It will be a strange week because in one way we might be quieter with people who are away on half term, but also we may be busier with the the celebrations and parties with the people who chose to remain in London. Either way the the formidable team will be ready.

I would like to remind those readers who live outside London that due to the bank holidays, the last day couriers will deliver is Wednesday. So for this requirement we do really need people’s order by Tuesday midday at the very latest. For those who live in local  London postcodes this does not apply and we will be delivering as normal apart from Thursday when we are closed.

Last week we helped one of our customers organise a trip for children with autism to have a day trip. Their families were invited too and Deborah (our lovely customer) organised the whole event, taking over 20 families away for the day, organising a chef to cook for them all, and collecting food donations from us and other companies for the chef to cook. What an amazing job and I’m sure the children and their families will never forget this act of kindness.
Whatever you choose to do this weekend, I hope you have a marvellous celebration for this special bank holiday.
The very best wishes,
Danny Lidgate
