Wow! What beautiful weather we are having. It really does feel like the beginning of summer. For us at Lidgates summer means more burgers, more kebabs, more sausages, and more BBQ joints. Every year we add a few new varieties to these ranges. Funnily enough the traditional favourites are still the best selling, but some variety is always healthy in my opinion.

 

If you think there are products we should have, but don’t have, by all means please let me. Our Chicken and Apple Sausage came out of one customer’s frustration that they couldn’t find a Chicken and Apple Sausage anywhere in London. Ever since then they have been a real hit with everyone.

One new product we’ve recently started selling, and I’m happy to highlight because I love them, is the new range of biltong products. For those of you who visit Holland Park, or live locally, you will be aware of a very nice gentleman call Sidney who works in Michanicou Brothers. Well one day he brought me in a sample of biltong made by his cousin. We tried them, we loved them, and now we sell them. Please let us know what you think of them, and feel free to give Sidney a big pat on the back.
