For years people have gathered outside of Court 1 for picnics on Wimbledon’s Murray Mound or Henman Hill to watch the giant TV screens. They have supped on chilled drinks and home -made picnics, but there are some who take the Wimbledon food theme even further.

At Nobu, the restaurant’s Executive Pastry Chef Regis Cursan, this dish is made up of a white chocolate sphere filled with a strawberry semifreddo filling, carefully balanced on a vanilla and lemon sponge. Pour over warm white chocolate sauce to watch the tennis ball melt.

At Eneko at One Aldwych, the three Michelin star chef Eneko Atxa, created the Wimbledon Glory. It’s a cream mousse tennis ball filled with Szechuan-infused fresh strawberry compote, sat on a buttery biscuit base and served with a carefully manufactured chocolate and meringue tennis racket.

At The Aviary, they created a white chocolate and pistachio mousse shaped tennis ball with a wild strawberry curd.
