Greek Domatokeftedes Recipe

We have a great pre-prepared dish at Lidgates of Greek Lamb Chops in a tasty Mediterranean marinade.  So this week, I am suggesting you let us do the work on the main dish and order your Greek Lamb Chops from us and then prepare an amazing Greek side dish called Domatokeftedes. They are a seriously addictive side dish that consists of tomatoes, herbs, dill, mint, oregano, and parsley.


1/2 bunch Mint, fresh
1 Onion, medium
1/2 bunch Parsley, fresh
4 Tomatoes, medium ripe
2 Zucchini, medium
Baking & spices
1 1/2 cups Flour
1 Pepper
1 Salt


  1. Gather the ingredients.
  2. In a large bowl, add the chopped tomatoes, grated zucchini and onion, chopped herbs, and salt and pepper to taste and mix gently to combine. Add enough flour to make a thick batter.
  3. Heat 1/2 to 3/4 inch of oil in a nonstick frying pan. When the oil is hot, drop the batter by tablespoonfuls into the oil and fry until golden brown. Turn once to brown both sides.
  4. Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy
