Danny's Days - 25th September 2023

This week we are feeling very autumnal and welcoming the new season. For the Lidgates team the summer is truly over and it’s eyes down and time to get busy. In a couple of weeks, it will be Canadian Thanksgiving and we will have the first of our homemade pumpkin pies ready. This is a favourite for my family. My daughters have already been asking about them.

Last week took part in a fun charity event we have supported for a few years now called the Moveable Feast. This is a fun and adventurous idea created by an amazing lady who is one of our customers.

Tiffany designed an evening where local shops donate food and drink for multiple dinner parties on one night. After each course guests move to the next house in rotation to enjoy their next culinary masterpiece. Tickets are sold and all proceeds go to Action Against Cancer. Charity support is something close to our hearts, and in a world that can be cruel and hard at times it is important we all help where we can. Bravo to those trailblazing and innovating to help others.
 
Ram Das once said, “We’re all just walking each other home”, where is home? We all have our own ideas but if spend more time looking out for each other the world will be a better place.
