Danny's Days - 21st November 2022

Last week was another very busy one. Some of you may have seen me interviewed on ITV news and in the Financial times regarding the ongoing bird flu issue and the affect on turkey availability this year.

As I have mentioned before, this situation is potentially devastating for turkey farmers and another hugely damaging blow for British agriculture. Thankfully, the farms that supply Lidgates are not reporting any issues. That said, I would urge all of our customers to place their Christmas turkey orders as soon as possible as supplies will obviously be constrained this year.

It has been really nice to see the shop decorated for Christmas - as well as other stores across London. It's a reminder that the festive season is upon us and of the hard work ahead. The team will be concentrating on Thanksgiving orders this week and then we will be fully focused on delivering an amazing Christmas to all of our wonderful customers.

On a different note, Christmas is not a special time for everyone and I would like to draw your attention to the wonderful work of the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation and their Christmas Winter Appeal. If you are able to make a donation to support their work please follow this LINK.

The very best wishes,

Danny Lidgate
