Danny's Days - 15th January 2024

As I write this, I’m considering how cold it will be this week. One thought that always comes to me in these conditions is of those sleeping rough on our London streets. We support a couple of charities who help, but anything we can do makes a huge difference.

I was touched by the warmth of human kindness recently when I was entering a local supermarket and a homeless man covered in blankets and cardboard was handed a freshly cooked warm McDonalds meal by a customer leaving the store. The look in this man’s eyes said a thousand words.

I think it is a stern reminder that anything we can do to help those less fortunate than us can never be underestimated. I know many of our customers give time and resources to the vulnerable and I applaud you. It is not unseen or forgotten easily.

“The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity.”— Leo Tolstoy
