This week is British BBQ Week - hopefully we get the weather to actually barbecue. I must say though, I am proud to be one of those weirdos who barbecues twelve months of the year.
Last year we moved house and did a full renovation whilst we were living there. I soon realised the barbecue was a lifeline for hot, wholesome food. I also realised if I were to continue this habit, it would dramatically reduce the amount of grilling and frying we do in the kitchen. So that is what I’ve done. I’m also lucky enough to have 2 barbecues in the garden, 1 charcoal and 1 gas so I can cook quickly or slowly depending on how much time I have.
Over the last few weeks we have introduced a number exciting new products. This week my recommendation is the Katsu Chicken Escalope. This is a quick and easy to cook product - unfortunately not for the barbecue. It cooks in minutes and is a big hit with all ages. Ideal for a mid-week meal. I wouldn’t recommend freezing due to the breadcrumbs. Let me know what you think.
