Jamie Oliver’s latest venture sees the return of the modest and charming Italian restaurant, Jamie’s Italian. Slap bang in the middle of the West End, it’s the perfect dining spot for a pre or post theatre meal.
Returning after its closure a few years ago, Jamie’s Italian is back with a whole new menu of timeless classics and vibrant discoveries. Our favourites include the San Daniele Prosciutto salad with chicory, grapes, shaved Parmesan, hazelnuts and balsamic. It’s the perfect refreshing starter as we move into the summery months. For mains, the Steak Schiacciata, a 28-day dry aged Herefordshire sirloin, is a fantastic choice, or the slightly more affordable Beef Shin Lasagne, a twelve hour beef ragù with béchamel, Parmesan and gremolata.
The interior design is just as impressive as the menu. The luscious ground floor, with its open kitchen and pasta making section, flows into the dining area. This energetic space is ideal for a busier afternoon. However, if you’re after something more secluded, downstairs offers a more private, moodier, candlelit setting, perfect for evening date nights.
