Danny's Days - 23rd March 2026

This week we get ourselves ready for Easter. Easter is relatively early this year and even earlier next year. What does this mean for the much-awaited New Season Lamb? Weather changes (in particular a wet January and February) mean there is not much New Season Lamb available for early April. We will have some, although it may well have to supplemented with our carefully selected hogget lamb in parts.

As always, we will be talking closely to our farmers and keep you in the loop. Talking of farmers, we have been thrilled to see some extra special Beef come to us recently. It’s been so good that on Saturday, we even had a social media blogger highlighting this on Instagram.

These past few weeks, we have seen many new easter treats on our shelves, such as our Colomba cake, Wicked Hokey Pokey Easter Eggs and locally produced Melt Chocolate products. Last Saturday, I walked down Holland Park Avenue in the early afternoon, the sun was shining, the pub was full, there were smiles on peoples faces, shopping bags in hands. Holland Park really is a truly magical and special place.
