Danny's Days - 16th March 2026

This week, we are enjoying the shop looking more decorated for Easter. We still have a few weeks, so I wont talk about all things Easter yet. This month is a busy month for the shop, with no school holidays and a busy Mother’s Day last weekend. We are certainly very grateful for that. We are all looking forward to Spring weather arriving. We have seen some glimpses of sunshine but also some pretty gusty nights. We have some exciting collaborations and concepts arriving soon. We will let you know all about them in good time.

One exciting new idea is a collaboration we have with a company called Homecooks. They are a young company, and currently we make 3 ready meals for them. This is an area we are hoping to introduce in our shop in the coming months as our amazing kitchen team are building quite a repertoire of products.

This month has been a good month to reflect on how well the team at Lidgates, driven on by our wonderful supervisors and enthusiastically motivated by our ever-smiling manager Steven Owens, have all done. It’s an extremely turbulent time in the retail butchery world at the moment, as is probably everywhere else. However I want to highlight how immensely proud of the team I am, they really are a very special group of people.
