Later this week we are welcoming back one of our friends and champion sauce brands, Prairie Fire. Kansas City native Michael Gratz is the founder, owner, and pit master of Prairie Fire BBQ. He launched the Kansas City-style barbecue brand in London as a food market and KERB pop-up in 2013, eventually opening a permanent taproom in White City. Unfortunately, some difficult trading times meant he had to close his restaurant, but we thrilled to have his no-nonsense authentic sauces back - keep an eye out for them being live on our website in the next few days. .
If we don’t get any glorious BBQ weather anytime soon, here are some indoor alternatives I have found to look forward to: 18th June is National Sushi Day, why not celebrate this cultural delight, and then something much more British, National Cream Tea Day is on June 26th. The history of the British cream tea originates from 11th-century monastic beginnings in Devon, later evolving into a popular commercial tradition during the 19th-century railway tourism boom.
