KHAO BIRD

When: 12th November 2025

Where: Brewer Street, London, W1F 0SS

Book: https://www.khaobird.com/contact

In an old adult movie theatre in the heart of Soho, this temporary Thai food pop-up has found a permanent home. When you enter the doors of this Thai BBQ restaurant and its live fire cooking, neon lighting and bubbly atmosphere, you’ll be glad you took a chance.

From Chef Luke Larsson and Restaurateur Mike Palmer, KHAO BIRD brings along many of its iconic dishes that it served at one of its last residencies at The Globe Tavern. Fan favourites are the delicious and juicy Onglet Steak served in a light white curry with green tomatoes. An excellent Chiang Mai BBQ Chicken, which is marinated in lemongrass, white pepper and coriander root. And don’t forget the Mutton Fries, which are no mere side dish; the crispy chips are almost crushed under the weight of the succulent braised Burmese mutton curry. More experienced eaters might want to try the spicy Raw Beef Larb, which Time Out called “spicier than Casanova’s search history.”

There are a range of excellent drink choices to go for; however, not to be overlooked is the Signature Martini KB, which is vodka, vermouth and dill oil. Perfectly served alongside the very moreish doughnut bao.

You can check out the rest of the menu and see what else KHAO have to offer here.
