Exciting news for lovers of Japanese cuisine – a new spot is opening in Soho from new restaurant group, MAD Restaurants. Group Executive Chef, Andy Cook, has experience under Gordon Ramsay, and Head Chef Nick Tannett has previously worked at Evernight and Endo at the Rotunda. With all this talent at the helm, hopes are high for this new spot, with strong reviews pouring in already. This Japanese-inspired grill and omakase is all about live-fire cooking, fresh British produce, and traditional sushi with a contemporary flair. The menu is split into Snacks, Raw, Binchotan, Hornbeam, Birch, and Sushi. Top dishes emerging from reviews so far include a Blue Fin Tuna Onigiri with White Soy and Cured Yolk, Pineapple Rib Tomato with Smoked Cream and Toasted Nori, and Native Lobster Tail with Clam Dashi and Sugar Snaps. From the presentation of the dishes to the impressive and slick interiors, Moi is the perfect option for upscale Japanese dining for any special occasion or weekday treat. The restaurant is opening a sushi bar and spacious listening bar in September, so if you want the full experience, book your visit for autumn. 

Eataly’s Pizza Fest

From September 11-21, London’s Eataly is celebrating pizza by showcasing craftsmanship, creativity, and conviviality. At their restaurants and terrace, diners can try limited edition pizza flavours such as the ‘Capocollo e Burrata’ and ‘Cacio, Pepe & Pere’. Gin & Rum Festival at The Oval

The UK’s largest Gin & Rum Festival is coming back to London for another year on 20^th September, hosted at The Oval in Kennington. For one weekend only, this festival dedicated to the world’s favourite spirits will be offering a range of spirits, live music, food stalls, immersive brand experiences, and exclusive samples and tastings. Drink tokens are available to buy on arrival which can be exchanged for a 25ml measure of any gin or rum with a complimentary mixers and garnish at any of the bars. Burger Fest UK

Coming to the Signature Brew on Blackhorse Road from September 13-14 is a celebration of all things burger. It’s a chance to try out the UK’s best up-and-coming burgers and beers, with all traders providing at least one burger capped at £10, from monster burgers to sliders. Viral sensations and London staples such as Meatcastles, Black Cactus, Leytonstone Tavern, Baggio Burger, Zephyr Burger, and Bun & Sum will be appearing.
