 “Your New Playground in Mayfair”

With autumn in full swing, there’s no better time to stay warm, bid farewell to your summer tan, and tuck into classic British dining. Let me introduce you to Rosi at The Beaumont, Mayfair.

You may recognise Culinary Director Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen from your television screens. She has appeared on the Great British Menu Christmas Special and is a regular guest on James Martin’s Saturday Morning. Her new menu, created alongside Executive Chef Brendan Fyldes, celebrates British food with her signature theatrical twist.

Seafood lovers can indulge in a selection of caviars served with hash browns and of course, no menu would be complete without Heston Blumenthal’s quintessential British classic: triple-cooked chips. For dessert, highlights include a flaming seasonal sponge and the indulgent Mayfair Millionaire tart, perfectly showcasing how Rosi fuses nostalgic comfort food with modern gourmet flair.

The setting echoes a 1920s speakeasy, lifted with bright, avant-garde flamboyance. The walls are lined with paintings of people dancing, drinking, and sitting down on the sofa with their loved ones. If you enjoy any of these, you’ll feel right at home at Rosi.

Get it before it’s gone! — Flock at Bruno
This week’s pop-up is Flock at Bruno, which can be found at 211a Victoria Park Road, London E9 7JN. After a hugely successful first residency, Florrie Kickham and Lucy Timm return with their signature corn-fed rotisserie chicken with tarragon & pickled shallot mayonnaise — an absolute must-try. Don’t miss their famed chocolate mousse and a glass of rosé, making for a unique lunch date. There’s no guarantee about a third residency, so grab one while you can.

The Soho Burger at Heard
If you find yourself in Soho, head to the new burger joint Heard for their site-specific Soho Burger. Built around a thick patty, Gruyère, cornichons, watercress, caramelised onion, and shoestring fries, it’s a bold reimagining of the classic. Two-star Michelin chef Jordan Bailey doesn’t disappoint. Fans of sustainable dining will also be pleased to know that Heard sources its British beef from a cooperative of regenerative farms, aged for a minimum of 28 days.

Theo Randall’s Cookery Masterclass (16th October)
Italian food enthusiasts can join Theo Randall for an immersive cookery masterclass at Theo Randall’s Cucina Italiana in Mayfair. Participants will learn to prepare dishes such as pappardelle with cavolo nero and new-season olive oil and gnudi (gnocchi-like dumplings made with ricotta cheese and semolina instead of potato flour) with new-season olive oil. After the lesson, guests will sit down to enjoy a four-course meal in the restaurant. Wine lovers will also be delighted by a list featuring 90% Italian varietals, handpicked by Chef Randall himself. If this sounds of interest but you are unavailable, not to worry! As Chef Randall will also teaching a masterclass on Ravioli with potato, pecorino and white truffle and Risotto with Romanesco and Black Truffle on the 21st of November.
