Aram by Imad

When:  Opened September 8th.

Where: Somerset House, Strand, WC2R 1LA

Book: https://www.arambyimad.co.uk/

Located in Somerset House, Aram by Imad is a celebration of Middle Eastern food and culture in the heart of London. At the core of every great restaurant is a great story, and Aram by Imad is no exception. Founded by Chef Imad Alarnab, Aram brings over the foods and flavours of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine and serves them in one of the best new lunch spots in the city. Chef Imad is a refugee, chef and entrepreneur who made his name in the UK with the hugely successful Syrian Kitchen. He has brought his talents to this new venture, combining aspects of a deli, café and restaurant, to create a dining experience where you are sure to be delighted by the selection of food and the wonderful hospitality.

The Zaatar Croissant is a signature opening dish which contains Fried Eggs with Aleppo Chilli, Grilled Sumac Potatoes, and Pomegranate Molasses Glazed Halloumi, all neatly tucked into a finely sliced crispy croissant. The Breakfast Hash is a wonderful brunch main and also potentially, the perfect hangover cure. It’s a gluten free option that contains Baby Smoked Beef Brisket, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onions, Chives, and Fried Eggs, all coated in a delicately spiced Urfa Chilli oil.

On the sweeter side, there’s a wide selection of gorgeous pastries on offer, and honestly, why not try them all? Your solo feast could include a Halva Brownie, an Olive and Feta Danish, a syrup-soaked Basboosa, and delicate Almond and Raspberry Friands.

As we ease into the final months of the year, there’s no better time to enjoy the beautiful open space of Somerset House, maybe have a look at one of their latest exhibitions and lunch at one of London’s most exciting new food hotspots.

Mr Sausage at the Old Truman Brewery

As I am sure we all know, October 27th marks the start of International Sausage Week in the UK, and what better way to celebrate that by supporting some of London’s finest sausage stalls.

One to look out for is the travelling hut Mr Sausage, serving up their signature creations at the Old Truman Brewery all day and in Wembley on the weekends

Mr Sausage is known for their unique twist on the classic American corn dog, as well as The Big One, a hearty sausage loaded with tasty toppings and their secret sauce. And don’t forget to grab a portion of fries with any of their original twelve sauces. A link to their social media can be found here.

Halloween at Kenwood

Get those Celebration chocolate boxes ready because Halloween is creeping closer. Soon you’ll be handing out treats to excited children and a few tired parents. If you love joining in the spooky fun, the Halloween Walk at Kenwood House is not to be missed.

Perfect for families, as long as you can handle a few unexpected jump scares, this eerie adventure takes you through the grounds of the iconic Kenwood House. This year’s event has been revamped with a spider web bridge, a glowing LED passageway, and roaming headless horse riders sure to send a shiver down your spine. When you’ve had your fill of frights, make a pit stop at the food stands for a well-earned treat. Creamy hot chocolate and hot toddies are always crowd pleasers on a windy autumn evening, and you can’t go wrong with one of their juicy burgers or fresh gyros. Click here for details.
