Kudu Collective
When: Opened September 16th
Where: 7 Moxon Street, London, W1U 4EP
Book: https://www.kuducollective.com/contact/
In January 2018, husband-and-wife dream team Patrick Williams and Amy Corbin launched what would become the first of their mini restaurant empire in Peckham — Kudu. Now, Kudu, Kudu Grill, and Curious Kudu have closed, with their best features cherry-picked to create the ultimate dining experience: Kudu in Marylebone.
Rooted in their South African heritage, Kudu fuses core family values with culinary excellence. They’re still serving some of their Peckham favourites, such as the Monkey Gland Pork Chop — a slightly aged Iron Age pork chop covered in a classic South African Monkey Gland sauce, drizzled with sweet pepper juice, and finished with fresh coriander. Anyone drawn to the seafood section might prefer another of their signature dishes: Peri Peri Prawns. Grilled prawns enveloped in homemade Peri Peri sauce are an instant classic. Kudu bread with Malaysian-influenced curry butter serves as an excellent palate cleanser, while the smoked prawn crullers with miso and pickled cucumber make a great side dish.
As Kudu is deeply rooted in South African tradition, it feels only natural to pair your meal with a full-bodied, bold red. For a more accessible, fruit-forward option, the Inzuzo ‘Big Picture’ Red Blend offers a smooth cherry note. Those craving a bolder flavour might opt for a glass of the Alto Shiraz — a smoky, peppery red with a gorgeous, lingering finish. A great vintage to be enjoyed by the wine lovers among you.
The interiors are integral to the dining experience, and Kudu has successfully translated its trusted, homely Peckham feel to the more polished Marylebone setting. The commitment to live-fire cooking and an open kitchen creates a comforting transparency that makes you feel enveloped by the energy of the cooking.
With the cocktail bar opening on the 3rd and a growing social media presence, get your table while you can.

Get It Before It’s Gone – Rice Paddy
Peckham may have lost Kudu, but it has gained Northern Thai food pop up Rice Paddy. Following a successful European tour, they have found a temporary home at the White Horse Pub. Perfect for a quick lunch, you might be tempted by the spaghetti drunken noodles, a favourite dish stir fried with chilli, topped with pickled chillies, and available with either beef or tofu. If a meat feast is more your thing, the slow grilled Gai Yang half chicken and crispy pork belly served with sticky rice would go down perfectly with a few Singha beers. You will not find much better or more affordable Thai food in London. To book click here.
London Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise – No Time to Dine
Whilst the rumour mill continues to spin over who will next play the most famous English character ever put to screen, James Bond, you might want to set sail on this Bond-themed murder mystery night. Drinks and a three-course meal are included in the ticket for this spy-themed adventure. As you cruise along the River Thames, the experience can be enjoyed by families with older kids or groups of adults. Any escape room lovers, I’m sure, will have a romp. To book click here.
Sandwich Sandwich
So good they named it twice. Sandwich Sandwich has come over from Bristol and is opening another store on Tottenham Court Road next week. If you have ever left a West End show or an evening screening at the Odeon, you might have thought that a quick sandwich on your way to the tube would make the perfect dinner. Sandwich Sandwich might be the answer to late-night, post-show snacking, as they’re releasing a special selection of sandwiches just for the evening. As co-founder Josh Keliner says, “Late-night sandwiches are better than afternoon sandwiches.”
