CHARGAL

Book: https://chargal.com

When: December 11th, 2025

Where: 11 Berkeley Street, Mayfair.

As it only opened in the midst of the Christmas rush, you might have missed the opening of Chargal, the, self-proclaimed, best Mediterranean restaurant in London. Spread out on three floors and set up by Mantl founder Serdar Demir, they’ve quickly established themselves as a foodie hotspot on Berkeley Street in Mayfair.

Open fire cooking seems to be taking over London’s new dining hotspots, with Chargal being no different. Their use of traditional seasonal ingredients with contemporary Turkish recipes has cultivated a menu which is sure not to disappoint. Dishes to watch out for are the Pistachio Lamb Cutlets, whose succulent texture is perfectly balanced with the sweeter honey pomegranate molasses. The Wagyu Picanha is another excellent choice, a rich cut with a gritty charcoal exterior, and The Adana from the grill which is a delicately seasoned, hand minced Welsh lamb. This is Turkish dining at its finest. And of course, essential accompanying side dishes such as the chargrilled flatbreads, which can be dipped into Oscietra caviar, are the perfect palate cleanser.

The cocktail bar stands on its own as a separate late-night hotspot and not merely an extension of the restaurant. Why not try the signature Chargal cocktail, made with Hennessy, Disaronno amaretto, citrus and peach bitters and rooibos vanilla. The Bloom and Blush is a lighter and sweeter alternative made from Tanqueray gin infused with fresh berries.

Burn’s Night

On Sunday, it is Burns Night, and the best way to celebrate is surely to dine on some Scottish specialities. Fortunately for you, we have the perfect collaboration between beloved Notting Hill pizza place Ria’s Pizza and the trendy indie ice cream brand Big Kid. At Ria’s for one night only they will serve their special menu, consisting of Neeps & Tatties Pizza, Haggis Pops a Plenty, Irn Bru soft serve, a whisky cocktail and, of course, a deep-fried Mars bar. What more can you want?!

Guiness Open Gate Brewery

We’ve had special Guinness bar pop ups, but never a Guinness brewery in London, until now. There are several things on offer when you visit. You might want a simple tour and a taste, going through the experimental brewery and trying various different drinks they make there. A Guinness masterclass is an alternative option, where you can learn about the history of Guinness from around the world with an exclusive deep dive into the brewing process, culminating in you pulling a pint for yourself. For more information on what you can get up to at the brewery click here.
