Half record store, half Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, Bambi’s reopening is one of the most exciting pieces of food news in 2026. Before, it was a slick and modest small plate and wine bar, but they have now doubled in size, brought on new chef Jamie Thornycroft and reopened as Bambi 2.0.

A larger DJ area and new mezzanine gallery give the bougie hotspot enough room for you now to come for the food and stay for the music and the dancefloor. Speaking of the food, here are a couple of signature classics and some new dishes which are must-tries.

The Whipped Ricotta with hot honey is a nice starting plate for dipping, whilst the Spicy Feta with red pepper is a snack for those of you who want a little more kick. The Burnt Leeks with harissa yoghurt and pistachio are a great vegan option for a starter, while the Peri Peri Atlantic prawns are a succulent signature dish.

The new charcoal grill means the Picanha with Cowboy Butter is an excellent tender main, alongside the Grilled Artichoke seasoned with orzo, yolk and Parmesan. Finally, The Blood Orange Sorbet would be a great choice for dessert; however, for my money it is hard to look past the rich and creamy Cinnamon Basque cheesecake.
