Hoppers – Shoreditch
When: Opened February 4th 2026
Where: 56 Shoreditch High Street, London, E1 6JJ
Book: https://www.hopperslondon.com/shoreditch/
You might be surprised to see that the very successful restaurant ‘Hoppers’ is opening its fourth London venue in the middle of Shoreditch. At first, you might think another venue isn’t anything to rave about, with ‘Hoppers’ having already been a mainstay of Sri Lankan and Tamil cuisine in London. However, this new spot gives Hoppers a fresh look and taste that sets it apart from its other destinations. They are going for a deep dive into South Asian cuisine, offering more authentic new dishes that you would only be able to find at the best places in South India.
Though you can go à la carte, the set menu, titled ‘The Hoppers Experience’, is what I would suggest. You are still able to pick from a variety of signature dishes, but it also has plenty of new specifically curated ones as well. Fo example, the Chickpea and Cucumber Salad is a refreshing starter which goes excellently with their Hot Butter Squid. For a softer start to your meal, you might want to go with the Yoghurt Vadai or the Mutton Rolls with Chilli Ketchup. And of course, the Egg Hopper is a delicate, plainer side dish which perfectly combines with the spicier curries or sweeter chutneys.
For more substantial dishes, the Lankan Chicken Kari is a spicy and succulent meal, neatly brought together with a hint of coconut. There is also The Black Pork Kari, a deeper and richer dish which is slow cooked to perfection. All of this and much more is available for £35 per person.
Bring your family or dine alone at this relaxed, classic Sri Lankan and South Indian fusion restaurant. For the full menu, click here.

Lunar New Year
It is the Chinese Lunar New Year this weekend, so wrap up warm and head out to Chinatown on the 22nd of February for the annual parade. You can find stage performances and traditional Chinese food everywhere you look. It is free to attend, so you have no excuses. Wander right through the West End, as you should be able to find various stages and food halls in Trafalgar Square, Dean Street, Leicester Square, and Shaftesbury Avenue.
6 Nations 6 Minutes of Guinness
