To eat at Hari Shetty and Ori Geller’s Nela, you used to have to be in Amsterdam or the beaches of Ibiza. But as of a few weeks ago, the newly developed centre in west London, The Whiteley, has opened its doors to the latest outpost of this famed restaurant. Shetty, who used to be head chef at Nobu London, brings an uncompromising simplicity to Nela. They want to wow with their sustainable interiors while sustaining a warm and comfortable atmosphere with their live-fire cooking. The environment is all about having the whole room, staff and customers alike, comfortable and feeling like they are at home.
Before your meal, you might want to have a cocktail at the bar or on the terrace. If you’re looking for something with a bit of a kick to it, the Hennessy-based Amber Refrain might take your fancy. Or, if you’re looking for something lighter, the non-alcoholic Second Spark might quench your thirst – made with a no alcohol sparkling wine mixed with Martini Vibrante and pineapple soda.
Revolving around the simple concept of ‘purity’, Nela has a wide selection of affordable yet luxurious dishes such as the Beef Ribeye Tartare, Red Prawns with crispy garlic and smoked paprika oil, or, if you’re looking for a seafood feast, the Half Lobster with guajillo butter works a treat. For dessert, you must try their signature Tiramisu served with coffee caviar. And of course, you cannot forget, for continual snacking, their classic flatbread, Lavash.

If you like Guinness, there might be no better place in England. To have a look at all The Ned has to offer click here!
London Cocktail Week
If you need an excuse to go drinking cocktails all around London, good news — London Cocktail Week starts on the 9th of October. One particular event which might be of interest is the Italian bars Terronir and Hey Baby which are taking over Callooh Callay in a night of Italian chaos. The drinks on the menu include Código Tequila and Lillet Rosé Vermouth creations, and Monkey 47 Gin and Italicus mixes. It’s free entry, starts at 9 PM, and runs until 3 AM. So, if you’re looking for some midweek drinks, this will suit you perfectly. To see the details of the event and many more like it click here!
