Danny's Days - 6th March 2023

This week is British Pie week and National Butchers week. So we’ve entered a few of OUR PIES into the British Pie Awards.

The butchers and the Kitchen team take a huge amount of pride with any awards we receive and the preparation for these was second to none. Fingers crossed for the results.

Next week we will also get our products ready for the famous Great Taste Awards which happens once a year. 10,000 products from all over the UK will battle it out for the supreme champion title, as well as a number of 1,2 and 3 star awards. The results of this competition are announced much later in the year. So you can imagine there is a fair bit going on this week in the butchery and kitchen areas.

Last Saturday nigh a number of the team went out for a Curry with our driver John Cummings. He is retiring in a couple of weeks and has been a huge asset to the company. He has been with us for a number of years and will certainly be missed by our customers as well as the Lidgates team.
