Danny's Days - 22nd July 2024

Last week we saw some incredibly warm days. On Sunday our shop manager Steven Owens was participating in a “Butchers Wars’ competition at the Smoke and Fire Festival in Ascot. Quite a few of us came along to cheer him on and to have a look at one of the biggest barbecue festivals in Europe.  

If you’re into smoked barbecued meats, craft beers and live music this is a good day out for you. There was also cooking demonstrations from Matt Tebut and others.

It was also great to meet Russ from Smokey Rebel. Russ is a recent new supplier to Lidgates and makes barbecue rubs. He’s an interesting character to follow on social media @smokey.rebel
