Danny's Days - 1st June 2026
This week staff have been away with half term. For those of us who stayed to man the ship, it’s been highly pleasant being in an air-conditioned shop with large fridges. Not so fun when you go home and can’t sleep though.
It’s been a busy few weeks. We’re certainly making the most of this glorious weather. May is a busy month for me personally with 3 kid’s birthdays 3 weekends in a row. That is all over and roll-on June. Hopefully more sunshine.

Last weekend also marked a full moon. In Buddhist traditions, the third of the three most important full moons of the year. So, if you were outside enjoying the warm evening on Sunday, you may have seen this fine and unusual specimen. The full moon on May 31, 2026, is a rare Blue Moon because it is the second full moon in a single calendar month (the first was the Flower Moon on May 1st). The term originated in the 1940s and has come to symbolize rarity.
I hope you all have a peaceful and enjoyable slightly cooler week,
The very best wishes,
Danny
