Danny's Days - 17th February 2025

With Valentine's Day out of the way, we embrace February school half term. Hopefully, the weather will improve after a cold and wet couple of weeks. The chilly weather has meant our kitchen has enjoyed some busy cooking periods with our handmade pies in hot demand.

Last week also saw the February full moon, also known as the Snow Moon because of the heavy snowfall in the Northern Hemisphere during this time. This moon symbolises strength, renewal, and new beginnings. It is sometimes also called the Hunger Moon because hunting was difficult during this time, Storm Moon, Ice Moon, and Bear Moon, based on old traditions. 

Strength, renewal and new beginnings are always welcome at Lidgates Butchers as we push forward in a quest to ever improve the quality of our produce and the quality of our service. I feel blessed to be a part of the  enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working team that turn up everyday at Lidgates.
