Danny's Days - 16th February 2026
Last week was certainly the week of love at Lidgates. Once again steak sales shone above all others for Valentine's Day, as loving couples seemed to enjoy a romantic evening at home, blessed with good food and drink. Saturday also gave us a lovely boost of some much needed sunshine.
This week will be a quieter week for us, as many people will travel for their half term holidays. We are now focusing on Mother’s Day on the 15th March. Let’s hope the rain finally stops and we can enjoy some brighter uplifting sunshine.
Last week I spoke to our Easter lamb farmer. Although the fields have been pretty wet, his lamb should be available mid-late march. Easter is early this year and we are looking forward to a few new products to add to our range.
