Danny's Days - 15th April 2024

This week we say goodbye to Easter holiday memories and hello to the latter half of April and dare I say it, some good weather. This week looks like starting off a bit wet (good for the plants) but should brighten up as the week goes on.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge heart-felt thank you to everyone who has sent messages, emails and spoke to Ben and I in the shop or on the avenue. We have been overwhelmed by the kind words said about our father’s passing. It is a big loss, however as a family we knew it would come at some point and we are pulling together to navigate these choppy waters. Thank you.

As ever the show must go on, and at Lidgates everyday is a different one, that’s why we love it. This week RBKC are removing the paving slabs outside our front door, as the tree which we love so much has been causing some movement to our entrance and they are going to investigate how best to deal with and in no way cause any damage to the tree. There may be a little disruption at certain times on Tuesday and Wednesday but we will do our best to welcome everyone inside and shield them from any dust.

For those who travelled away at easter, welcome home and we look forward to seeing all of you very soon.
