When: Opened October 22nd Where: 75 Norwood Road, Herne Hill, SE24 9AA Book: https://www.2210bynattycancook.com/book-a-table-1
From TikTok videos to one of London’s most exciting new restaurants, let me introduce you to 2210 by NattyCanCook. With redefined Caribbean classics, an ex-prisoner head chef, and a social media storm, 2210 is set to be one of the hottest new openings this October.

NattyCanCook, a chef like no other, is more than just the winner of “One to Watch” at the 2025 Top New Restaurants Awards. He is an ambassador for Clink, a programme helping incarcerated citizens learn how to work in hospitality and professional kitchens.
The interiors of 2210 are quaintly seductive; feel free to sink into their enveloping sofas while the energy of the bar and kitchen reverberates throughout the restaurant.
Speaking of their food, to truly appreciate Nathaniel Mortley’s evolution from his residency at The Greyhound Pub to his own establishment, you have to try some of their crowd-pleasing classics. Their slow cooked jerk chicken with fried allspice terrine, spring onions, and mango and pineapple salsa is essential to any Caribbean style dining experience. Those looking for a softer, meatier main course will enjoy the confit pork belly, served with red cabbage slaw and Scotch bonnet mayonnaise.
This is a unique opportunity to experience a London hotspot still developing its service. With a discounted soft launch period throughout October, 2210 is an honest restaurant eager to listen to its customers and provide the best service possible

Winter Market – Southbank Centre
As Halloween ends, the country begins to look ahead to the most magical time of the year, Christmas. Though it is still weeks away, Christmas markets across the country are already starting to open. So why not be one of the first to sample the food on offer at the Southbank Centre’s Winter Market? It has almost everything you could want in the autumn weather: burgers, wings, hot dogs, dumplings, pancakes, churros and cookies, to name just a few. All best enjoyed while wrapped up warm and a hot drink clasped between your gloves. It runs until the 4th of January.
Get it before it’s gone – Fire and Fromage at Jimmy’s Pop-Up
There is no reason that you cannot revel in the Autumn weather just as much as the summer. If you do end up on the Southbank for the seasonal market, why not wonder across to Jimmy’s Pop Up for the long-awaited return of the Fondue Bar! Get your blankets and your woolly hats, sit around the fire with your friends and feast on cheese, mulled wine and mini chocolate doughnuts. As it sells out every year, I’d get a ticket whilst you can! To book, click here.
The Meat Kings of Brooklyn Heights – The Park Theatre
If you’re looking for something a bit different to do this week, grab a ticket for the Park Theatre’s new play, The Meat Kings of Brooklyn Heights. Set in a butcher’s shop, “it’s messy..bloody.. and a cutthroat environment… which makes it the perfect setting for a play” says the director of this Olivier Award winning theatre company. The play tackles the state of American politics whilst the characters brandish their knives and cook and cut steaks, briskets, ribs, chicken, and all the other deliciously meaty dishes you would find at a typical All-American BBQ. Tickets can be found here.
