Dallas Burger Joint
When: Opened 6th June 138
Where: Shoreditch High Street, E1 6JE
Book: https://www.dallasburger.com/
This American-style burger joint was born and fine-tuned on the streets of Lisbon before finally opening its first spot in the UK. Its stripped-back wooden interior keeps things simple. Like all great specialist spots, simplicity is key to achieving good food.
Their Classic Cheeseburger and Chipotle Burger offer familiar American-style favourites. However, we'd suggest opting for something a little more extravagant, such as the Italian Summer Burger, which includes Grana Padano, arugula, grilled marinated tomato and courgette, basil, and mayo. Or try the Truffle Mushroom Burger, topped with Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and truffle mayo.
For sides, while the selection is limited, each option is crafted to complement their signature burgers. The Cheesy Loaded French Fries seem like an easy decision. To finish, the Ice Cream Cookie is a great dessert Trad choice. It gives a diner-style twist on an ice cream sandwich that runs rings around most similar desserts you'll find in Shoreditch.

Spookz BBQ Reloaded
This Sunday, for £6, this annual BBQ and boogie day hits south London. A surprise all-star DJ line up will play from 4-11 pm. For the food, it's all about Jamaican style classics, with jerk chicken, rice and peas, patties, and more. For those looking to dance with some sweeter snacks, candyfloss and popcorn will be available deep into the night, if you can make it that long. If this sounds like how you would like to spend your Sunday afternoon, then click here.
Oyster Masterclass – Bentleys
This summer, whether you love your oysters or never touch them if they're on the menu, this weekend masterclass might be a good opportunity to learn about and taste some of the finest oysters from the Great British and Irish coasts. At Bentley's, the Oyster Boys shuck over 1,000 oysters a day and love sharing their tips and tricks. During the class, you will be given a drink pairing to enjoy, then some dressed oysters to take home along with the limited-edition Bentley's Oyster Knife. If not for yourself, this class could be a great gift for any seafood fanatic's birthday. Tickets can be bought here.
Jurkish at Brick Lane
The next time you're thrift shopping on the cobbled streets of Brick Lane, why not try this ongoing pop up by Chef Nazli Ramadan? Her food is a combination of her Jamaican and Turkish Cypriot heritage, which means there's nothing quite like her cooking currently in London. We'd suggest going for her Jerk Chicken or Halloumi Rice, which is accompanied by Nenes salad, garlic yoghurt sauce, and pickled pepper. If you're looking for an easy pub lunch, her wrap and a pint for £10 is a tasty and affordable treat for the heat. More info here.
