DIM SUM LIBRARY

When: Opened December 8th 2025

Where: 136 Long Acre, London, WC2E 9AD

Book: https://dimsumlibrary.co.uk/contact-us/

A place perfect for big groups and many sharing plates, the Dim Sum Library brings Hong Kong inspired dishes to the heart of Covent Garden. While I’m sure we’d all love to try a bit of everything, that might not be possible, so here are a few dishes to get your order started.

The Chef Recommended dishes are an excellent starting point, with the Wagyu Beef Puff, a signature croissant looking dish with a rich, juicy cut of beef hidden in the pastry. Crispy Prawn Rolls are a crowd-pleasing specialty at many a dim sum restaurant and this place is no different. The Crispy Aubergine with salted fish, Sakura Shrimp & Green String Beans is stacked up into a tower and is the tastiest Jenga looking dish you can have in London!

Don’t forget the prawn Cheung Fun, which has a silky, slippery texture, a different yet excellent option for a prawn-based dish, or for a more delicate starter try the Chicken & Spring Onion noodles in soup. A hearty, comforting dish for someone with a lighter palate. I’d personally finish with the rich Chocolate Lava Mochi, a gooey finish to a wonderful, flavoursome meal.

There is no reason not to head down, to the affordable yet excellent, Dim Sum Library for a meal you won’t forget in a hurry.

La Creperie de Hampstead

As I am sure you are all aware, February 5th is World Nutella Day. Not that you need an excuse to try one of Europe’s favourite breakfast spreads, but if you did, there is no better Nutella pancake in London than La Crêperie de Hampstead. On the sweet side, they have a classic banana and Nutella crêpe, or if you’re looking for something a little more complex, their Caribbean inspired crêpe with banana in butter, a sprinkling of coconut, your choice of chocolate, and finished with cream and rum. For savoury options, I would suggest the Crêpe Complète, a ham and cheese crêpe with an egg broken over the ham. They’re delicious and stationed right outside the King William IV pub. Eataly Fest

This weekend, for its 19th anniversary, the Eataly food festival is being run, only a few minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street Station. On the 30th and 31st of January you will be able to purchase, with your tokens, various regional Italian dishes. I’d look for some Montanara Pizza as it is absolutely scrumptious. These can be paired with gorgeous wines and cocktails of your choosing. There will be entertainment along with the excellent array of Italian treats, where you will be able to watch some live food demos of some Eataly classics. If this Italian foodie experience sounds like something you fancy, a link to tickets can be found here.

Agave Masterclass

On the fourth of February, as dry January draws to a close, head to the iconic 1910 Cantina for an Agave masterclass. You will learn how to make this Mexican Alcoholic beverage which includes Tequila, Mezcal and the sweet Agave syrup from the plant of the same name. Excellent authentic Mexican nibbles are to be tried along with their curated cocktails. It’s a great weekend adventure for you and your friends. Tickets can be purchased here.
