Crisp Pizza at The Malborough
When: Opened 10th November
Where: 24 N Audley St, London, W1K 6WD
Book: https://crispmayfair.com
The Best Pizza in London is a title that many pubs and restaurants claim, but it might actually be true for Crisp Pizza at The Marlborough. Anyone not on social media might be unaware of the cultural popularity of Crisp Pizza, which became a notable foodie hotspot at its old home, The Chancellors Pub. Now founder Carl McCluskey has expanded to a bigger dining area and larger kitchens in this highly anticipated move to central London.
If you are lucky enough to get a table, you will find all the classic New York style eat-with-your-hands pies they previously offered, along with a handful of new additions. The Vecna pie is a personal favourite, which is their take on a pepperoni, drizzled in hot honey. The Tye Dye pie has a little more of an edge to it, with San Marzano tomatoes, spicy tequila sauce, fior di latte, a pesto swirl, and Honest Tolii EVOO.
A sweet pizza is not an uncommon dessert for a New York style pizzeria; anyone who’s wandered over to Dylan’s Candy Bar will know that well. Hence why I suggest the Nutella calzone to finish the meal. You might want to wash it all down with a pint of Guiness, as one of their Instagram posts puts it: “You come for the pizza, stay for the Guinness”. For more information, click here.

The Great Christmas Feast
As we wander into the December months, I can’t help but provide a few more Christmas events to help put you in the Christmas spirit. Halfway between a play and a dinner, The Great Christmas Feast combines a tale of Charles Dickens cooking dinner, the night before Christmas. It comes with your own three course Victorian themed banquet featuring potted rare breed beef, hot smoked salmon, roast duck leg and much more. You can even dress in Victorian garb yourself to fully get into this immersive Christmas dining experience. For more information click here.

Sunday in Brooklyn – Thanksgiving Dinner
Chef Jamie Young’s Sunday in Brooklyn is, we think, the perfect choice to celebrate a late Thanksgiving. An establishment which combines the peacefulness of a Sunday in Brooklyn with affordable fine dining. Their Thanksgiving menu is simple yet delicious. On offer is a double baked souffle for starters then grilled miso aubergine or a succulent turkey doused in gravy. For dessert, Pecan cake or Vanilla Ice cream are both wonderful crowd pleasers.
