From The Hero to The Devonshire, trendy neighbourhood gastropubs have become increasingly popular in the last year or so. Next up on the list is the reopening of Queen’s Park’s The Salusbury. Headed by chef Tarryn Bingle from La Trompette and the Rectory, the menu offers a classically structured menu of starters, mains, and desserts which honour pub tradition whilst injecting a sense of modern experimentation. Diners can look forward to sampling Parmesan Churros, Dorset Crab Linguine ‘Cacio e Pepe’, and a Pineapple Tarte Tatin with Rum & Raisin Ice cream. Classics such as Côte de Boeuf with Triple Cooked Chips and Roast Cod with Jersey Royals is also available amongst many other enticing dishes. With a separate bar menu full of indulgent yet sophisticated bites, this spot is perfect for both casual dining and more formal occasions. There’s also a hearty Sunday lunch menu available which offers a more exotic selection of dishes than your average local pub as well as the usual chicken, pork, or beef options. Having already been open for a few weeks, there’s plenty of reviews to check out. The consensus seems promising, with the Condé Nast Traveller naming it one of the best London spots to try out this month. Click here to find out more and peruse the menu.
