Lagana
When: 15th September 2025
Where: 19 Willow St, London EC2A 3HU
Book: https://www.lagana.london/
There is a playful, almost childlike charm to Shoreditch’s new Greek hotspot, Lagana. The design of the restaurant and the food is deceptively simple, served from menus made to look like yellow legal pads and exercise books, covered in whimsical doodles. It is an especially great spot for lunch, perfect for sitting at the bar with a small group and enjoying a relaxed, easy-going meal.
A sister restaurant to Nina, Bottarga and Zephyr, Lagana has big shoes to fill and it delivers. I would start with the grilled pitta and your choice of dip: tzatziki, cucumber skin and dill oil, or spicy feta are all great options. Starters such as, the sweetcorn are equally excellent as the corn’s crisp texture pairs beautifully with the creamy chilli butter. But do not fill up too much on the flatbread and starters as you will want to sample an array of sharing dishes for your main course.
Particularly delicious options to please your party include the dry aged picanha, lamb belly with cumin yoghurt, bluefin tuna with beetroot and wakame, and the crispy courgette tempura with red pepper sauce. For drinks, I’d recommend the Red cocktail made with passion fruit, bitters, prosecco and vanilla. It’s the perfect accompaniment to Lagana’s sharing plates is refreshing and well suited for both lunch and dinner.

Duda Diner
This restaurant says that everyone sings or hums a little tune while cooking up their dinner, even if they would never admit it out loud. The team behind Duda Diner are so sure of it, that they named their new restaurant after that rhythm – the Duda Diner.
The music and energy of this new family orientated Malaysian dinner spot echoes around the streets of southeast London. Opening just last month, their menu includes Lamb satay skewers, Duda burgers with dry aged beef and one of their signature delights, Oysters topped with Sambal Tempoyak. Between the Bridges – Electric Winter
The Southbank is full of Christmas delights this year, and one standout food and drinks pop-up is Between the Bridges. Their Electric Winter season has begun, offering plenty to enjoy. The Wünder Bar is a lively late-night spot where you can sip cocktails and sing along to Christmas classics. The food stalls are excellent, featuring Rack City’s slow-cooked ribs, the iconic Patty & Bun burgers, and Free Wheelin’s thin, crispy pizzas.

Tower Bridge Collective
Having just opened in the heart of London, Tower Bridge Collective is the newest food hall, filled with an exciting mix of well-known names and hidden gems. Fuego 1987 is already proving popular, serving Californian-Mexican fusion street food such as their signature slow-cooked birria tacos. For something sweet afterwards, head to the Chocolate Bar by Bullion, where you can make your own chocolatey drink and snap a photo of their freshly baked treats. All this and more can be found at 1 Horselydown Lane, London SE1 2LJ.
