Legado is the brand new Spanish restaurant in Shoreditch serving up lesser-known regional flavours by Chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho. Any tapas lover will find the menu extremely exciting, with the usual suspects appearing such as Pan con Tomate, Gazpacho Andaluz, Churros, and Arroz con Leche. There are lots of unique dishes to try, with a wide variety of seafood, meat, and vegetable dishes accompanied by delicious sauces and garnishes. At their ‘Taberna’, diners have a menu of funky bar snacks such as Ham Croquetas with Manchego and Ox Tongue Burger with Mini Pan de Cristal – it looks like this new spot is perfect for both special occasions and casual bites. The entirely Spanish wine list offers an indulgent range of Sherry and Cava, as well as unique cocktails with a twist. The interiors are stylish and welcoming, fusing Spanish hospitality with the contemporary feel of Shoreditch. The Dining Room is flooded with natural light and seating at The Counter is available for those looking to watch the chefs at work. Despite being an very recent opening, rave reviews are already pouring in. Notable dishes so far include the Monkfish Tempura, The Legado Sandwich, and Saffron Ice Cream with White Chocolate Mousse. Totally Thames

Running for the entire month of September across London, this festival organises events from the Clean Thames Challenge to The Great River Race. They’ve got you covered if you’re looking for a foodie adventure in London too, with pop-up food trucks appearing to celebrate global cuisine. If you’re attending any of the festival events, be sure to visit the Southbank’s wonderful array of pop-up food stalls too. Chocofruit offers decadent servings of fruit covered in melted chocolate and toppings. Frank! are riverside hot dog connoisseurs, bringing true American style market food to London. These stalls (and much more) are open until 21 September, so head on down to get a taste before they’re gone.

Downton Abbey Comes to The Ivy

To celebrate the release of the final Downton Abbey film, The Ivy Collection has launched a special menu which transports guests back to the fine dining of the 1930s. Available from 3 September until 14 October, this themed menu is on offer at all of London’s Ivy restaurants at two courses for £27.95pp and £34.95 for three. The iconic menu celebrates tradition and grandeur, honouring the beloved series with limited-edition dishes to transport you to the stately dinners of the show. Mains include a slow-braised Shepherd’s Pie, 21 Day Aged Sirloin Steak, and Grilled Lemon Sole, with desserts such as Orchard Apple Tart and The Ivy Chocolate Dome. Taste Film Do The Princess and the Frog

As we transition into autumn and look ahead to Halloween, there are plenty of foodie events to get booked in. Taste Film has had huge success putting on immersive events where diners watch a film alongside a set menu, timed to perfection. From Ratatouille to Chef, the team aim to create unforgettable film-inspired feasts (with vegan options available too!). This season they have the hilarious and wacky comedy Hocus Pocus playing in October paired with a terrific menu of tricks and treats including ‘Youth Juice’ (jalapeño margarita) and ‘Dusty Toasty Pudding’ (French toast with cinnamon sugar). Until 19 September, Disney favourite The Princess and the Frog will be shown, featuring dishes such as ‘Bee’s Knees Bathtub Gumbo’ and ‘Buttery Old Bay Popcorn’.
