Il Bambini Club – The Hoxton Hotel
When: Opened September 29th, 2025
Where: 81 Great Eastern St, London, EC2A 3HU
Book: https://bambini-restaurant.com/london/

The interiors of Shoreditch’s best new Italian restaurant, Il Bambini, will make you think you’ve fallen down a rabbit hole and landed in a tropical Alice in Wonderland. You also wouldn’t be mistaken for thinking you had arrived on the Amalfi Coast, with the dazzling paintings of lemon trees scattered around the bar. They describe themselves as a fusion of Italian cuisine with the trendiness of Shoreditch. Designers Virginie Friedmann and Delphine Versace have certainly outdone themselves.
London is the third stop for Il Bambini, following great success in Paris and Megève. As far as the food goes, you’re welcome almost any time of day. For breakfast, the Full Bambini offers an Italian-style twist on a classic English breakfast, with Italian fennel sausage and homemade baked beans. For lunch or dinner, highly admired dishes you might want to try, include the Stracciatella with a basil oil focaccia toastie, the sensational truffle cream tagliatelle, and the gentler prawn risotto. The homemade pastas, fettuccine al tartufo and beef ragù pappardelle. are also house specialities.
To drink, an extensive, carefully curated list of Italian wines do nicely. And on the cocktail menu, The Amalfi Margherita cocktail is a must try, being an elegant mix of tequila, limoncello, Cointreau, and lemon thyme.
This perfect fusion of Italian and British food can be found just a short walk from Old Street Tube station.
