Padella – Soho
When: Opened 18th April
Where: 2 Kingly St, W1B 5PB
Book: https://www.padella.co/soho/
This iconic pasta bar has been successfully producing freshly made dishes for 10 years. To celebrate this milestone, it has finally released its third London location, in Soho. Take a seat outside if it’s sunny or you sit up at the counter next to the open kitchen if you want the full experience. As the first Padella opened in 2016, we know exactly the perfect order for your first dining experience at their new branch.
For starters, there is nothing wrong with keeping it simple and light. The crowd pleasing Nocellara olives, along with the Olastag anchovies go nicely alongside a glass of prosecco or a Cherry Cosmo, which includes Amarena cordial, Martini Bianco and vodka.
For mains, it is hard to ignore their signature beef shin ragù, but their fettuccine with Cobble Lane nduja, mascarpone and lemon, or tagliarini with Dorset crab, chilli and lemon, are excellent choices. For dessert, while affogato and tiramisu are Italian classics, you might want to try the Nespoli and almond tart.
