With locations already in Clapham, Kentish Town, and on Tottenham Court Road, these sourdough specialists have recently opened a new spot in Marylebone. Founded in Bologna in 2010, this pizzeria has become a beloved go-to which has received rave reviews from Time Out and The Times, amongst others. If you enjoy a perfect drink pairing, you’ll be pleased to know that the wine comes from much-loved Shoreditch favourite Passione Vino, and beer from Signature Brew. The menu includes a tempting variety of antipasti, including deep-fried dough balls with a range of toppings such as ‘Nduja, burrata, and basil. Additionally, there are salads, desserts, and of course the pizza. Reviews have praised the limited-edition Baba Ganoush summer pizza, the Salsiccia, and the 4 Formaggi with Mushroom & Truffle, also noting the outdoor terrace and friendly service. Miris y Maíz: A Mexican-Sri-Lankan Pop-Up
This unique and delicious pop-up is showcasing British produce through an unusual fusion cuisine led by Dom Fernando at Paradise Soho. Running until 30 August, diners can expect a playful menu which challenges traditional expectations. Dishes include Pappadum Tostadas, Confit Devon Duck Tacos, and Grilled Paratha Quesadilla. The intriguing cocktail menu offers an array of flavours from chamoy and tajin, to cherry, chipotle, and chilli. Reviews so far are positive, so if you’re keen, be sure to check it out before the residency ends.
Meatopia: The Home of UK Live-Fire Cooking
From 28-31 August, food lovers will be congregating at Tobacco Dock in London to enjoy delicious grub, fabulous drinks, and eclectic bands alongside DJs. A range of accomplished chefs will be serving one carefully curated dish each which has been cooked over charcoal or fire. Originally staged in New York City, the festival came to London in 2013 and now also occurs in Glasgow too. With an emphasis on ethically sourced meat and fish, the festival is all about quality, sustainability and taste. The Great East End Eats
Until 24 August, a group of local restaurants, bars, and cafés have come together to create their take on a traditional Spanish tapas route, with a portion of the proceeds going to support St Joseph’s Hospice. Each venue has a chosen dish or drink which can be ordered including Flat Earth Pizza’s Aubergine Parmigiana, Violet Cakes’ Banana Bread Loaf, and Dead Pedros’ Cheese Birria Taco.
